Our Commitment to Your Privacy
We understand how important your files are. The AI Drive Batch Renamer (also referred to as "Renama") is built with transparency and user authority at its center. This Privacy Policy is written inside plain English, with no complex legal jargon, to clearly show how we handle your information fairly.
The Golden Rule: Zero Persistent Database Storage
This utility does not save, cache, copy, or log your Google Drive folder outline, file structures, names, or file contents onto any external third-party servers. All operations happen inside your transient web browser session and vanish automatically once you close the application tab.
1. Information We Access & Why
When you use the AI Drive Batch Renamer, we request authorization with Google Drive OAuth permissions to execute your instructions. Here is exactly what we access:
We display your email address and profile photo securely at the corner of the workspace to indicate which account is active and to differentiate active Google scopes during multi-account states. We do not store this profile.
We retrieve folder hierarchies (IDs, folder names) and file metadata (original titles, size descriptors, creation timestamps, and extensions) using the drive.readonly and drive scopes. This is required to compose the preview board of names.
If you choose the deep high-context AI file summarizer to rename special docx, pdf, or text files, the app reads the plain textual stream of those documents temporarily. This text is solely used by the AI to extract context and is immediately forgotten.
To perform the actual, physical renaming of your chosen file or directory resources, the app sends authorized patch requests to the official Google Drive endpoints. Only the files you explicitly selected and approved are updated.
Requested App Permissions (Scopes)
Allows Renama to read file structures inside selected folders to present them on the preview board, and to write the new filenames that you design and preview. No unrequested files are ever modified.
✦ 2. How We Disclose Your Data to AI (Gemini)
When utilizing the Gemini AI mode to recommend intelligent, clean folder structures or formatted titles:
- Our application communicates securely with the official developer instance of Google's Gemini model.
- Only the textual names, sizes, creation times, folder relationships, and text extracts of the assets you selected are sent as part of the model's contextual prompt.
- Google's developer terms guarantee that this data is processed securely through standard developer APIs, protecting user confidentiality and ensuring your inputs are not used to feed or train public foundation models.
🤝 3. No Advertising, Selling, or External Sharing
We do not have affiliate marketing trackers inside the app. We do not sell, distribute, or rent your files, email, or usage logs to third parties. Our code exists solely as a useful serverless assistant. Our metrics and credit systems are built cleanly without hidden advertising loops.
⚖️ 4. Transparency, Compliance & Security Measures
To defend your rights, we force HTTPS encryption on all outgoing API calls. Your Google access tokens are maintained in transient local state memory. No secondary database exists to gather passwords. We satisfy all constraints matching Google's Limited Use standards under Google API User Data Policies.
